Find the source of truth first
Availability, rates and property records may live in different systems. Before connecting them, decide which system owns each record and which changes can flow in each direction. Without that agreement, a connection can multiply inconsistencies instead of removing manual work.
MovilTex assesses the APIs, access permissions and partner requirements of the tools you already use. A PMS, channel manager, booking platform or payment provider is included only when its capabilities and your permissions support the required workflow.
Scope the connection honestly
An API that can read availability may not support booking confirmation or cancellations. Usage limits, update frequency and vendor agreements affect what the experience can promise. We separate supported functions from assumptions before designing the interface.
- Identify supported endpoints and read/write permissions.
- Map property IDs, statuses, dates and time zones.
- Choose webhooks or polling based on provider support.
- Keep authentication secrets away from browser code.
Design for retries and disagreement
Networks fail and updates can arrive late or more than once. Reliable workflows need duplicate protection, retry limits and reconciliation. A failed update should appear as an actionable exception, with enough context for the responsible team to recover.
An attempted request is not a confirmed reservation. The user-facing status should reflect the authoritative system and avoid hiding incomplete transactions behind optimistic messages.
Start with a useful connection
A focused first integration is often easier to evaluate than replacing the whole ecosystem. We can discuss one high-friction handoff, identify what can be tested in a sandbox and agree on acceptance criteria. No specific provider integration is guaranteed until technical access and scope are confirmed.
